Enter the email address on your profile and verify it. ContactOut says it uses your details only to identify your record.

The opt-out page says your profile is deleted within the next 24 hours. ContactOut's contact page says opt-out form submissions are processed within one week.

Remove the source
ContactOut says it uses public data, and that information removed from a website is removed from its database as well. Take down or hide the public profile it came from.
Watch out for
- ContactOut states two timings: 24 hours on the opt-out page and one week on its contact page. Plan for the longer one.
- If the public source still shows your details, ContactOut can pick them up again.
- You can also ask by email, which ContactOut's privacy policy lists as an opt-out route.
