How to opt out of SealedRecords

Find your record
Open the SealedRecords Remove My Information page and enter your name and state. The form uses them to locate the record you want gone.

Pick your record from the results and submit the removal. If you appear under another name or state, search again.

Truth Now LLC's California registry entry lists support@checksecrets.com as its contact address. Write with your name, your state and the page where you found yourself.
Watch out for
- SealedRecords' terms say the site may reject, move, edit or remove user content at its sole discretion, so a request isn't guaranteed to succeed.
- Truth Now LLC also runs CheckSecrets and PeopleSearchUSA, plus InmateSearcher. SealedRecords doesn't say its form covers them.

SealedRecords doesn't publish a relisting policy. Search for your name and state again every few months, and file a new request if a record has returned.
Your rights
Truth Now LLC is on the California data broker registry. California residents can also send one deletion request to every registered broker through the state's DROP platform, which brokers have been processing since August 1, 2026.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
