How to remove yourself from ZabaSearch
ZabaSearch is listed among Intelius, LLC's domains in its California data broker filing, so removal runs through Intelius's privacy center and the free PeopleConnect Suppression Center. Neither says how long it takes or whether it explicitly covers ZabaSearch, so check your listing afterwards.

How to opt out of ZabaSearch
- 1
Find your ZabaSearch listing
Search your name on zabasearch.com and note what shows up. You'll use it to check the result later.
- 2
Open the Intelius privacy center
Go to the Intelius Data Privacy Center and click Manage My Suppression Rules, or go straight to the Suppression Center.
- 3
Verify your email
Enter your email address and follow the verification link. The privacy center asks you to confirm who you are with your full name, date of birth and a phone number or email address you can verify.
- 4
Use the relatives form if it applies
Your name can still appear as a possible relative or associate in someone else's report. The privacy center has a separate form for that.
- 5
Search ZabaSearch again
After a few days, search your name and phone number on ZabaSearch. If you're still listed, contact the privacy team through the privacy center.
Watch out for
- ZabaSearch is one of the domains in Intelius, LLC's California registry filing, but the Suppression Center names only TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, Intelius and US Search, plus 'additional affiliated websites'. It doesn't name ZabaSearch.
- Suppression hides your own report. It doesn't clear reverse phone or address lookups or registered sex offender lists, according to the Suppression Center.
- PeopleConnect's terms say it 'provides no assurances' that it can remove everything about you.

These are run by the same company. Removing yourself from ZabaSearch doesn't remove you from them, so check each one.
Does it come back?
Neither Intelius nor PeopleConnect publishes a relisting policy. PeopleConnect's terms say subtle discrepancies in data can make removal harder. Search yourself on ZabaSearch every few months.
Your rights
California residents can also use the state's Delete Act platform (DROP), though Intelius's privacy policy says DROP doesn't cover publicly available information, which its reports are built from.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
