How to remove yourself from ListMatch
ListMatch lets you look up your own record on its privacy page. If it finds you, it emails a link where you can view the record and delete it. ListMatch says deletion is instant and complete, and that it keeps a one-way hash so the record can't be re-added.

How to opt out of ListMatch
- 1
Open the privacy page
Go to the ListMatch privacy and opt-out page and use the "Check/manage/delete your Data Record" button.
- 2
Look yourself up
Enter the details the form asks for. ListMatch holds mostly email data, so the email address you want removed is the best thing to search.
- 3
Open the emailed link
If a record is found, ListMatch emails you a link. The message can land in spam.
- 4
Delete the record
From that link you can view what ListMatch holds and remove it. ListMatch says removal wipes the record from its database.
- 5
Repeat for other addresses
Each email address is its own record, so run the lookup for every address you use.
Watch out for
- ListMatch says it buys its email lists from other data brokers, including L2 Data, Apollo, DatabaseUSA, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, GetProspects and ExactData, so deleting here doesn't remove you from those sources.
- After deletion ListMatch keeps a one-way hash of the record, so it can block you from being added again. The hash isn't your data in readable form.
- ListMatch says it doesn't sell, share or buy data for residents of 18 states (CA, CO, CT, DE, IA, IN, KY, MD, MT, NE, NH, NJ, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT) as of 2024.

Does it come back?
ListMatch says it keeps only a one-way hash of a deleted record to prevent the data being added again. Its sources are other brokers, so check back if you still get marketing email.
Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
