How to remove yourself from PacificEast
PacificEast says it doesn't maintain or store consumer information, but it takes opt-out requests from people whose data passes through its systems. Use the form on its privacy page or email privacy@pacificeast.com. It replies by email, so the address you give has to work.

How to opt out of PacificEast
- 1
Open the consumer privacy opt-out page
Go to pacificeast.com/contact-us-privacy, titled Consumer Privacy Opt-Out Request.
- 2
Fill in every field
PacificEast says it needs enough valid information to verify you, and that wrong or generic details mean your request can't be processed. Complete all fields with your own correct details.
- 3
Or send the same details by email
The page offers privacy@pacificeast.com as an alternative to the form.
- 4
Answer anything it asks
PacificEast says it only writes to the email address you entered, and that it may ask for more information. If you don't answer, the request may not be processed.
Watch out for
- If a third-party opt-out service files for you, PacificEast says that service must supply valid contact details for you, or the request will likely fail.
- PacificEast checks that you are legally eligible to opt out before it processes the request.

Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.

Frequently asked
Does PacificEast really hold my data?
It says it doesn't maintain or store consumer information, only that data may pass through its systems. The opt-out covers that.
Can someone else file for me?
A third-party service can, but it has to provide valid contact information for you. Generic details are likely to be rejected.
How long does it take?
PacificEast gives no timeframe. It says it processes the request once your details and eligibility are verified.
