How to opt out of Lusha
- 1
List every way you appear
Write down your work and personal emails, phone numbers and LinkedIn URL. Lusha matches by identifier, so it can only suppress what you give it.
- 2
Open the opt-out form
Use the "Opt Out" or "Do Not Sell My Info" link in the footer of lusha.com. Lusha's help documentation says that link opens the removal request form.
- 3
Submit every identifier
Enter each email, phone number and profile URL you listed. Lusha says that if it only holds your email and later adds your phone number, it has no way of knowing they belong to the same person.
- 4
Or email the privacy team
Lusha says you can contact its privacy team by email instead of using the form. Name the email addresses and phone numbers you want suppressed.
- 5
Wait up to 7 days, then check
Lusha says it can take up to 7 days to remove your data from all of its contact databases. After that, your data shouldn't appear in its search results or enrichment.
Watch out for
- Matching is by identifier. A phone number or email you didn't submit can stay in the database.
- Lusha tells customers who had access to your data about the opt-out, and sends them reports (usually monthly) to remove those contacts from their own CRMs. Copies in a customer's system are theirs to delete.
- Lusha only covers its own database. The same details can sit with other sales-data providers.

Does it come back?
Lusha says opted-out people go on a suppression list so the data doesn't come back. Matching is by identifier, so a new email or number it picks up later isn't covered unless you submitted it.

Frequently asked
How long does Lusha take to remove you?
Lusha says it can take up to 7 days to remove your data from all of its contact databases. In its 2024 California filing it reported a mean of 4 days to respond to deletion requests.
Does Lusha keep my details after I opt out?
It keeps your identifiers on a suppression list so you aren't added again. That's the point of the list, not a sign the opt-out failed.
Why did Lusha still show my phone number?
Lusha matches by identifier. If you only submitted your email, a phone number it holds separately may not be linked to you. Submit every email, number and profile URL.
Does this remove me from other sales-data sites?
No. A Lusha opt-out only covers Lusha's database. Other providers need their own requests.
