How to remove yourself from Woodpecker
Woodpecker is a cold email tool, so the data it holds on you is usually a prospect record a customer uploaded. Email support@woodpecker.co to ask for deletion, or use the unsubscribe link in any email you received.

How to opt out of Woodpecker
- 1
Find the email that brought you here
Woodpecker doesn't build profiles of people it picks itself. Its customers load prospect lists into the tool and send campaigns through it, so the sender is usually the company that holds your details first.
- 2
Use the unsubscribe link if the email has one
Woodpecker's help center says senders can add an unsubscribe link that lets you either unsubscribe or ask for your data to be deleted. Picking deletion encrypts your record, and the contact is marked opted out so it isn't emailed again.
- 3
Email Woodpecker if there's no link
Write to support@woodpecker.co from the address you want removed. Say you want your personal data deleted and name the sender or campaign you heard from, if you know it.
- 4
Ask the sender too
Woodpecker's privacy policy covers prospect data in a separate notice, so a request to the company that emailed you reaches the source of the list.
Watch out for
- The deletion link only exists if the sender added Woodpecker's unsubscribe snippet to the email. Plenty of campaigns don't include it.
- Deleting your record at Woodpecker doesn't touch the sender's own lists or any other tool the sender uses.

Does it come back?
Woodpecker doesn't publish a relisting policy. A sender can upload your address again from another list, so an unsubscribe only covers that sender's campaigns.
Your rights
Woodpecker's privacy policy says every data subject has the right to access, rectification, deletion, restriction and portability, and it states that Woodpecker doesn't sell personal data to third parties.

Frequently asked
Does Woodpecker sell my data?
Its privacy policy says it doesn't sell, trade or transfer personal data to third parties, apart from authorities legally entitled to request it.
Why does Woodpecker have my email address?
A Woodpecker customer most likely uploaded it as a prospect. Woodpecker says prospect data typically means name, last name and email address.
Will unsubscribing stop emails from other senders?
No. An unsubscribe applies to the sender's campaign, and other companies using Woodpecker or other tools keep their own lists.
