How to opt out of Connected Investors
- 1
Use the Do Not Sell or Share form
It's at connectedinvestors.com/content/do-not-sell. You can also switch off sale and sharing through the cookie preferences on the homepage.
- 2
Turn on Global Privacy Control
Connected Investors says it honors Global Privacy Control signals, so a browser or extension that sends one does the same job on every visit.
- 3
Ask for deletion separately
The privacy policy has a deletion section with a request link, and the company lists dataprivacy@connectedinvestors.com and a phone line. It verifies your identity by matching what you give against its records.
- 4
Appeal a refusal
If a request is declined, the company says it will give the reason and explain how to appeal.
Watch out for
- Opting out of sale and deleting your data are two requests. The Do Not Sell form doesn't delete anything.
- The privacy policy and the opt-out form list different phone numbers (1.800.350.1520 and 1-800-350-1502), so use the email or form.

What Connected Investors is known to collect, not a check of your listing.
Does it come back?
Connected Investors doesn't publish a relisting policy. Its policy says it collects details when you sign up, post or contact it, so a new sign-up with your details creates fresh data.
Your rights
Connected Investors is in the California data broker registry. Its registry entry reports 24 deletion requests received and 24 complied with, at 15 days to respond. The company also names a First American opt-out form in the registry.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
