How to opt out of InfoPay
- 1
Work out which InfoPay brand lists you
InfoPay, Inc files one California registry entry for InfoTracer, GoodCar, PropertyChecker, EntityCheck, Sentinex, CourtCaseFinder, StateCourts, ThePublicIndex, IDStrong, CourtRecords, StateRecords and RecordsFinder. Search your name on the ones you suspect.
- 2
Start with the InfoTracer form
Open infotracer.com/optout and submit the request for your record. InfoTracer is the brand most people find first.
- 3
Use the form for every other brand that lists you
The registry entry gives a separate opt-out page per brand: PropertyChecker, RecordsFinder, Sentinex, StateCourts, StateRecords, ThePublicIndex, CourtCaseFinder, CourtRecords, EntityCheck, GoodCar and InfoTracer. IDStrong's page is members.idstrong.com/opt-out.
- 4
Email compliance if a form fails
The registry entry lists compliance@infopay.com as the privacy contact and 800-309-9351 as the phone number. InfoPay's privacy page lists privacy@infopay.com.
Watch out for
- InfoPay names each brand's opt-out page separately, so a request on one site is not shown to cover the rest. Search each brand for your name afterwards.
- InfoPay reports a median of 6 days to respond to deletion requests in 2024 and 4 days for opt-outs of sale or sharing. It also reports denying some requests, so check your listing instead of assuming it's gone.
Sister sites
These are run by the same company. Removing yourself from InfoPay doesn't remove you from them, so check each one.
Does it come back?
InfoPay doesn't publish a relisting policy. Search your name on the brands a few weeks after you submit, and again every few months.
Your rights
InfoPay is on the California data broker registry, so California residents can also use the Delete Act's DROP tool at privacy.ca.gov/drop.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
