How to opt out of Homemetry

  1. 1

    Search for your address

Look up your address on homemetry.com and open the listing page.

  2. 2

    Copy the listing URL

Copy the full web address of that page from your browser. The opt-out form asks for it.

  3. 3

    Submit the opt-out

Go to homemetry.com/control/privacy and paste the URL into the form. You can send the URL by email to removals-homemetry@homemetry.com instead.

  4. 4

    Repeat for every address

Homemetry says each request covers one address, so file a separate request for each property you want removed.

  5. 5

    Search again later

Look the address up again after a few days to see that the listing is gone.

Watch out for

  • One request covers one address. A previous address or a second property needs its own request.
  • The opt-out page is framed around California Consumer Privacy Act requests.

What Homemetry holds about you

  • Full name and aliases
  • Current address
  • Phone numbers
  • Relatives

What Homemetry is known to collect, not a check of your listing.

Does it come back?

Homemetry doesn't publish a relisting policy. Property data gets refreshed from public records, so check your address every few months.

Your rights

California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.

California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.

Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
