How to remove yourself from Tapad
Tapad links your devices for advertisers, and it has no profile page to remove. Use the Opt-out or Do Not Sell My Personal Information button on its privacy notice, or call 855-927-0800. Both buttons do the same thing.

How to opt out of Tapad
- 1
Open Tapad's global privacy notice
Go to tapad.com/global-privacy-notice. The notice was last updated on 24 June 2026, and the request buttons are on that page.
- 2
Click Opt-out or Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Both lead to the same Consumer Rights Request Portal, which also takes access and deletion requests.
- 3
Call instead if you prefer
Phone 855-927-0800.
- 4
Ask for deletion if you want the data gone, not just the sale stopped
Tapad treats a request to correct as a request to delete.
- 5
Add the advertising industry opt-out
The notice also points to the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. It applies to online behavioral advertising by Experian and other participating companies, and it doesn't replace the Tapad request.
Watch out for
- Tapad maps cookies and phone advertising IDs to each other, plus hashed email addresses. Its notice says it collects no names or street addresses, so there's no listing to search for.
- Opting out through any of Tapad's routes has the same effect on its Graph, so one request is enough.
- This notice doesn't cover the UK, the EU, Switzerland, Japan, Brazil or Mexico. Each of the last three has its own.
Does it come back?
Tapad doesn't publish a relisting policy. Because it works from cookies and device IDs, a new browser or phone can generate fresh identifiers, so repeat the request if you reset a device or buy a new one.
Your rights
Tapad offers every consumer the right to access, correct and delete, and to opt out of sale and targeted advertising, whatever state you live in. The California data broker registry entry that covers Tapad is filed under Experian Information Solutions.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
