How to remove yourself from Billtrust
Also known as BTRS Holdings Inc, Factor Systems, LLC
Billtrust is business payments and credit software, not a people-search site. Its California registry entry says sole proprietors can opt out of sale through a Do Not Sell form and ask for deletion through the contacts in its privacy policy.

Watch out for
- Billtrust says its notice does not cover data it handles for its customers as a service provider, such as in its collections and cash application products. For that data, contact the business that uses Billtrust.
- The opt-out described in the registry covers sole proprietors in the credit products, not everyone.
Does it come back?
Billtrust doesn't publish a relisting policy.
Your rights
Billtrust is on California's data broker registry, so California residents can use CCPA rights. The company also lists UK and EU markets.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
United Kingdom: UK GDPR. You can ask any company to erase your personal data and to stop using it for direct marketing. It has one month to respond. If it doesn't, you can complain to the ICO.
European Union: GDPR. You have the right to have your personal data erased and to object to its use for direct marketing. Companies must respond within one month, and you can complain to your national data protection authority if they don't.
