How to opt out of Complementics
- 1
Find your device ID
Complementics needs the Device ID (your mobile advertising ID) to process a deletion. It's in your phone's privacy or ads settings.
- 2
Email the privacy address
Send the device information to privacy@complementics.com. Complementics says it will block that device from use in its system.
- 3
Limit ad tracking on the phone
In the device settings, turn on the option that limits ad tracking. That stops your advertising ID being shared at all, with Complementics and anyone else.
Watch out for
- Deleting or restricting one app only limits what that app collects. It doesn't reach data that other apps already passed along.
- Complementics collects precise location in some feeds, so a removal request tied to one device won't cover a second phone or tablet.
Does it come back?
Complementics doesn't publish a relisting policy. A new or reset advertising ID looks like a new device, so repeat the request after a reset.
