How to opt out of VoilaNorbert
- 1
Email from the profile's address
Write to support@voilanorbert.com and ask it to remove your profile, or to delete your data.
- 2
Show you control the inbox
VoilaNorbert says anyone making a request has to demonstrate control of the email inbox tied to the profile. Sending from that inbox is the obvious way to do it.
- 3
If you can't reach that inbox
Say so in your email. VoilaNorbert says it may suggest other ways to verify who you are or that someone is authorized to act for you.
- 4
Use mail if you prefer
The policy also accepts a request by standard mail to the company address on the page.
Watch out for
- Deletion isn't automatic. VoilaNorbert can refuse when it needs the data for security or to meet a legal obligation, among other listed exceptions.
- It says it also directs its service providers and customers to delete your data when it approves a deletion request.
- Its data is business contact information, so an old work email or employer can be the thing that identifies you.
- Opting out here doesn't touch other business contact databases.
