How to opt out of Trestle
- 1
Read the rights section of the privacy policy
Trestle's privacy policy is the page its California registry entry names for exercising privacy rights.
- 2
Write to the privacy address
Email privacy@trestleiq.com from an address you use. Say what you want: deletion of your personal information, a copy of what Trestle holds, or an opt-out of sale or sharing.
- 3
List the details Trestle would match you on
Trestle's data is built from names, phone numbers, email and physical addresses, so give your full name and the phone numbers and addresses you want checked. Without them there's nothing for the company to look up.
- 4
Keep the reply
Save Trestle's answer. If you get no response, write again and mention the California registry entry for Trestle Solutions, Inc.
Watch out for
- There's no search page where you can find your own record. The request goes by email.
- Trestle's customers (businesses that run identity checks and fraud screening) hold their own copies of the queries they send in. A request to Trestle doesn't reach those companies.
- Trestle says it adds data from third-party providers to its database, so the same details can come from other sources too.

Does it come back?
Trestle doesn't publish a relisting policy. Its privacy policy says it gets data from public sources and third-party providers, so a record can be rebuilt after deletion. Check again by asking for a copy of your data every few months.
Your rights
Trestle Solutions, Inc. is registered as a data broker in California, so California residents can ask it to delete their data, tell them what it holds and stop its sale under the CCPA. Its 2024 registry report lists no requests of those kinds.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
