How to opt out of Arity
- 1
Open the privacy webform
Go to arity.consumerprivacyinfo.com. Arity says advertising that uses identifiers such as your email address is opted out through this form.
- 2
Ask for deletion
Arity says you can ask it to delete your personal information, subject to exceptions in the law. Routely users send deletion requests through the same site.
- 3
Stop driving data sharing
Opt out at any time in the mobile app you used to share the data.
- 4
Turn on Global Privacy Control
Arity says a browser signal it must legally recognize, such as GPC, opts you out of website cookie-based advertising automatically.
- 5
Appeal a denial
If Arity denies a request, use its appeals webform. For marketing emails or Shine the Light requests, write to privacy@arity.com.
Watch out for
- Arity warns its tools operate independently and may not fully affect all data sharing or advertising done by or for its business clients.
- Website cookie opt-outs apply to the browser you set them on.
- Arity lists 1-800-654-1412 as a phone route and the DAA AppChoices app for mobile ad opt-outs.
Does it come back?
Arity doesn't publish a relisting policy.
Your rights
Arity's privacy pages give deletion rights subject to legal exceptions, an appeal route, and California Shine the Light requests at privacy@arity.com.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
