How to opt out of ReversePhoneLookup
- 1
Start at the Intelius privacy center
Open the Intelius privacy center. The registry entry that names reversephonelookup.com gives this page as its privacy-rights address.
- 2
Use the suppression tool
Choose Manage My Suppression Rules and follow it: you enter an email address, open the verification link and confirm who you are with your name and date of birth. Intelius's own materials say no ID is needed.
- 3
Add the relatives form
The privacy center has a separate Right to Opt Out form for appearing as a relative or associate in other people's reports.
- 4
Email about anything left
If your number still shows on reversephonelookup.com afterwards, write to legal@intelius.com, the contact address in the registry entry, with your name, your number and the page where it appears.
Watch out for
- The Suppression Center names Intelius, US Search, TruthFinder and Instant Checkmate as covered. It doesn't name ReversePhoneLookup, so check the site after you submit.
- Intelius says suppression doesn't hide you in phone, address or email lookups, and a reverse phone site is a phone lookup.

Does it come back?
Intelius doesn't publish a relisting policy. Search your phone number on reversephonelookup.com every few months and write in again if it has returned.
Your rights
Intelius, LLC is on the California data broker registry. California residents can also send one deletion request to every registered broker through the state's DROP platform, which brokers have been processing since August 1, 2026.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
