How to opt out of Evorra
- 1
Read the rights section of Evorra's product privacy policy
It's at evorra.com/privacy-data-policies/product-privacy-policy. The rights section covers access, deletion, correction and opting out of targeted advertising.
- 2
Use the footer link for cookie-based ad opt-outs
Click 'Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information' in the footer of evorra.com to open the cookie preference center.
- 3
Or turn on Global Privacy Control
Evorra says it honors the GPC signal through the same cookie consent tool, so a browser with GPC switched on sends the opt-out for you.
- 4
Email privacy@evorra.com for deletion or access
The policy says you can exercise your rights by emailing privacy@evorra.com or through its opt-out webform. Expect to give an email address; Evorra says it uses it only to honor the opt-out and deletes it afterwards.
- 5
Appeal a refusal
If Evorra denies a request you can appeal by emailing the same address. UK and EEA residents can also write to DPO@evorra.com.
Watch out for
- The cookie opt-out only covers targeted advertising through cookies and similar tech. Evorra also passes data to ad partners such as The Trade Desk, LiveRamp and Lotame, and its policy gives a separate opt-out page for each.
- Mobile and connected-TV advertising IDs are controlled in your device settings, not through Evorra.
- Evorra needs your email address to match the opt-out to you.
Does it come back?
Evorra doesn't publish a relisting policy. Because the cookie opt-out is browser-based, clearing cookies can reset it, so GPC is the steadier option.
Your rights
Evorra is on the California data broker registry. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado and several other states (the policy names eight) can opt out of sale or sharing and of profiling. UK and EEA residents have GDPR rights.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
United Kingdom: UK GDPR. You can ask any company to erase your personal data and to stop using it for direct marketing. It has one month to respond. If it doesn't, you can complain to the ICO.
