How to remove yourself from Big Village
Also known as BV Insights LLC
Big Village's opt-out is a form on its Do Not Sell or Share page. It only accepts a mobile advertising ID (MAID), not a name, phone number or email, and a submission without a valid MAID can't be processed. Other requests go to dpo_us@big-village.com.

How to opt out of Big Village
- 1
Find your mobile advertising ID
Big Village describes a MAID as 36 characters: 32 characters split by 4 hyphens. On Android, open the Google Settings app and look under Ads. On Apple devices the ID is hidden by default, so you'd need a third-party app to display it.
- 2
Open the Do Not Sell or Share page
Go to big-village.com/do-not-sell-or-share-my-personal-information and find the MAID form.
- 3
Submit your MAID
Big Village says IDs you submit are left out of the audiences it builds and aren't sold to third parties. The form takes only a MAID, so a phone number or email won't work here.
- 4
Email for anything else
For requests the MAID form doesn't cover, write to dpo_us@big-village.com. Big Village's privacy policy also lists the phone number 833-457-0281 and legal@big-village.com for appeals.
Watch out for
- The form only works with a MAID. If you can't find yours or have several devices, you need to submit each ID.
- Big Village's page is about its audience products. It doesn't say it removes you from data held by clients or partners.
Does it come back?
Big Village doesn't say how long a MAID opt-out lasts. A new phone or a reset advertising ID creates a new MAID, so submit it again if you change devices.
Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
United Kingdom: UK GDPR. You can ask any company to erase your personal data and to stop using it for direct marketing. It has one month to respond. If it doesn't, you can complain to the ICO.
European Union: GDPR. You have the right to have your personal data erased and to object to its use for direct marketing. Companies must respond within one month, and you can complain to your national data protection authority if they don't.
