How to remove yourself from GADSME
Gadsme is an in-game advertising company. Its privacy policy names a Data Protection Officer you can email at dpo@gadsme.com and says it keeps data linked to a user for up to 12 months. It also says its use of data may count as a "sale" under the CCPA.

How to opt out of GADSME
- 1
Read the policy's opt-out section
Gadsme's privacy policy refers to Section 8 for how to opt out of its tracking technologies.
- 2
Email the DPO
Write to dpo@gadsme.com, the Data Protection Officer's address. Say whether you want access, deletion or an opt-out.
- 3
Reset your phone's advertising ID
Gadsme's SDK reads the Google Advertising ID on Android and the IDFA on iOS. Resetting or turning off that ID in your phone's settings breaks the link to earlier data.
Watch out for
- Gadsme works through publishers' apps and sites, and says they should post their own "Do Not Sell" links. You may need to opt out in each app too.
- Data tied to a user is kept up to 12 months, so old data ages out on its own.

Your rights
Gadsme says it treats itself as a third party under the CCPA and that its data use may be a "sale" under that law.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
European Union: GDPR. You have the right to have your personal data erased and to object to its use for direct marketing. Companies must respond within one month, and you can complain to your national data protection authority if they don't.
Canada: PIPEDA. You can withdraw your consent to a company using your personal information and ask it to correct what it holds. If it doesn't respond, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
