How to opt out of Anchor Computer
- 1
Open the request form
Go to ecom2.anchorcomputer.com/privacyrequest.
- 2
Pick what you want
The form offers a full report (California residents only), deletion of any data Anchor holds on you, or a do-not-sell flag that keeps the record but marks it off-limits for sale.
- 3
Enter your details
Anchor uses what you enter only to find your data and to make a best effort to keep it from being added again. Its policy lists identifiers it may ask for: name, address, last four digits of your SSN, date of birth, phone and email.
- 4
Answer the verification email
Anchor sends a verification request by email. If you can't be verified, the request can't be completed.
- 5
Or contact the privacy team
Email privacyteam@anchorcomputer.com or call 800-646-2563.
Watch out for
- The opt-out covers Anchor's own databases only. Clients may still get your information from other sources.
- Delete and do-not-sell are different choices: delete removes the data, do-not-sell keeps it but blocks sales.
- Businesses acting as a universal opt-out mechanism shouldn't use the consumer form. Anchor says to contact the privacy team for bulk opt-outs.

Your rights
Anchor says it is registered as a data broker in California, Vermont, Oregon and Texas. Its 2024 California filing reports a 14-day response time to delete and opt-out requests.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.

Frequently asked
What's the difference between delete and do-not-sell?
Delete removes the data Anchor finds. Do-not-sell keeps the record but marks it off-limits for sale.
Does Anchor ask for my SSN?
Its policy lists the last four digits of your SSN among identifiers it may use to verify you, along with name, address, date of birth, phone and email.
Will this stop other companies selling my data?
No. Anchor says the opt-out applies only to its own databases.
