How to remove yourself from MyLife
MyLife is still running in 2026, now under InsightBridge LLC, and removal goes through one free form at mylife.com/privacyrequest. You don't need an account or ID. The form promises action within 15 business days, and MyLife's own 2025 figures put the median at 5 days.

How to opt out of MyLife
- 1
Find your profile first
Search your name on mylife.com, open your listing and copy the URL from the address bar. The URL field is optional, but MyLife says the details you give help it remove "the correct record(s), particularly if there are multiple profiles or records under the same name."
- 2
Open the privacy request form
Go to mylife.com/privacyrequest. The page is titled "Deletion and opt out of sale of personal information." One request covers both.
- 3
Fill in the required fields
Enter your state, first and last name, city, ZIP code, email and birth year. Add your middle initial and any maiden name or alias if you've used one, and paste the profile URL.
- 4
Get through the email check
The form has a required "Email Validator" step, so use an inbox you can open right now.
- 5
Complete the CAPTCHA and submit
Finish the CAPTCHA and send the form.
- 6
Wait for the confirmation email
MyLife says it uses your email "to receive a confirmation when the deletion is complete."
Watch out for
- MyLife will also unsubscribe the email you give and delete any MyLife account registered to it, so use a different address if you pay for a membership you want to keep.
- Claiming your profile doesn't make it disappear; claiming means registering with MyLife so you can edit what shows, and the removal form is the route that takes the listing down.
- Cancelling a paid membership has its own steps in MyLife's FAQ, so check billing separately.

Does it come back?
MyLife doesn't say. Its form says matching listings "will be permanently removed," while its privacy policy adds that some profile information "may remain in our backup systems" and that it keeps opt-out records for "suppression". Search your name on MyLife every few months anyway, and send a new request if a fresh profile appears.
Your rights
The form offers deletion to residents of states with privacy laws and helps everyone else "at our discretion", so it's still worth submitting if you live elsewhere. In a 2021 FTC and DOJ settlement, the earlier operator MyLife.com, Inc. was found to have misled people by suggesting they had arrest or criminal records, and the defendants were banned from selling auto-renewing subscriptions.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.

Frequently asked
Is MyLife still in business?
Yes. As of 14 October 2026 the site is live, run by InsightBridge LLC, and it still publishes profiles and sells memberships.
Do I have to create a MyLife account to remove my profile?
No. MyLife's own form says you don't need an account to use your opt-out rights.
Can I just email MyLife?
Yes. The FAQ says you can contact Customer Care at membersupport@mylife.com instead of using the form. The form is faster to track because it asks for the details MyLife needs to find you.
Will removing my profile cancel my paid membership?
It closes any account registered with the email you use. Cancelling a paid membership has its own steps in MyLife's FAQ, so check billing separately.
Can someone else request removal for me?
Yes. MyLife accepts requests from an authorized agent who has your signed written permission.
