How to opt out of Dataline

  1. 1

Start at the Do Not Sell page

Open datalinedata.com/do-not-sell-my-information. Dataline updated it on July 1, 2026.

  2. 2

Submit your request and expect a verification step

Dataline says the data protection officer is notified immediately and replies within 10 days, but only once your identity information is verified.

  3. 3

Use the privacy portal or email if the page doesn't work for you

Dataline's California filing names a privacy portal at datalinedata.com/privacy-portal and the contact privacy.officer@datalinedata.com. Its phone number there is 609-452-6014.

Watch out for

  • The 10 days start after your identity is verified, not when you submit.
  • Dataline builds audiences from transactional data for marketers, so it's a marketing data company, not a people-search site with profiles to find.

Your rights

Dataline is on California's data broker registry. Its filing reported mean and median response times of 8 and 10 days for 2024 deletion and opt-out requests.

California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.

California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.

Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
