How to remove yourself from Innovis
Innovis handles prescreen opt-outs through optoutprescreen.com, by phone on 1-888-567-8688 or by mail. The online request lasts five years. A permanent opt-out means printing and mailing a form. Innovis says the request also goes to the other three big credit bureaus.

How to opt out of Innovis
- 1
Start at Innovis's opt-out page
Open innovis.com/personal/optOutOptIn. It sends you to the shared form at optoutprescreen.com.
- 2
Choose five years or permanent
The online route is a five-year electronic opt-out. The permanent opt-out requires you to print a form and mail it in.
- 3
Fill in the form
Reported fields: name and address, a Social Security or ITIN number, and your date of birth. Enter them only on optoutprescreen.com.
- 4
Or call
Prefer a person? The phone route is 1-888-567-8688, and it files the same kind of request.
- 5
Keep the confirmation
Don't skip this. Save the confirmation page or letter so you can show when your five years started.
Watch out for
- The opt-out covers firm offers of credit or insurance that you didn't ask for. It isn't deletion of your Innovis file.
- Innovis's own notice says the request is also sent to Equifax. And to Experian and TransUnion. One form, four bureaus.
- The five-year opt-out only works if Innovis can find a credit file for you from the details you give.
- The mailing addresses differ between sources, so confirm the one on Innovis's page before you send a letter.
- You can opt back in later at optoutprescreen.com.

Does it come back?
Note the date. The online opt-out lasts five years, and the permanent version needs the mailed form.
Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
