How to opt out of Alignable, Inc.
- 1
Log in and open Data Privacy
Sign in, then go to Account Settings and pick Data Privacy. That menu is where Alignable's privacy policy sends requests to download or delete your data.
- 2
Ask for deletion
Submit the delete request. Alignable says it answers access, correction and deletion requests within 30 days, so diarize a follow-up for day 31.
- 3
If you can't log in
The privacy policy has a contact section (Section 8) for people without an account and for authorized agents filing for someone else. Read it at alignable.com/privacy-policy and use the route it gives.
Watch out for
- Closing an account goes through customer service. That is a separate path from a data deletion request, so ask for the one you want.
- The Data Privacy menu only exists once you're logged in. A forgotten password has to be sorted out first.

Does it come back?
Alignable doesn't publish a relisting policy. A deletion request covers the account you send it for, so a second account needs its own.
Your rights
California residents can ask Alignable to delete or correct their data and opt out of sale or sharing. Other US states and Canada get similar rights, and Canadians can complain to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
Canada: PIPEDA. You can withdraw your consent to a company using your personal information and ask it to correct what it holds. If it doesn't respond, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
