How to remove yourself from Acxiom
Acxiom is a marketing data company, not a people-search site, so there's no public profile to find. You can opt out of the sale of your data by online form, phone or mail, and Acxiom says it doesn't verify your identity for that request.

How to opt out of Acxiom
- 1
Open Acxiom's US consumer instructions
Go to acxiom.com/privacy/us/consumer-instructions. It lists the ways to ask Acxiom not to sell your personal information, and its other US privacy rights requests.
- 2
Choose how to send the request
The online route needs a valid email address so Acxiom can confirm the request. If you don't have one, Acxiom says you can opt out by phone on 1-877-774-2094. You can also mail the request to P.O. Box 2000, Conway, AR 72033 with your name, address, phone number and email if you have one.
- 3
Use the privacy email for anything else
For questions, or a request that doesn't fit the form, the contact address in Acxiom's California registry entry is askprivacy@acxiom.com.
- 4
Set a browser signal if you want one
Acxiom says it recognizes the Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal. It only applies to the browser or device that sends it, so it doesn't replace the request above.
Watch out for
- Acxiom says its marketing opt-out only affects marketers who use its marketing data products. It doesn't pull back data already given to marketers before your request.
- Opting out of sale is not the same as deletion or an access report. Those are separate requests on the same instructions page.
- A friend, lawyer or service can file for you: Acxiom says it honors requests from authorized agents.

Does it come back?
Acxiom doesn't say whether data comes back after an opt-out. It builds marketing profiles from sources it updates, so re-check its privacy page for changes from time to time.

Frequently asked
Is Acxiom a people-search site?
No. It's a marketing data company, so you won't find a public profile with your name on it. Opting out is about marketers no longer receiving your data from Acxiom.
Do I need to prove who I am?
Acxiom says it accepts opt-out requests without identity verification. Access and deletion requests are a different matter, so check the instructions page for what they need.
How long does an opt-out take?
Acxiom's California registry entry reports a median of 4 days to respond to opt-out of sale requests in 2024. That's Acxiom's own reporting, not a promise for your request.
Can I opt out from outside the US?
Acxiom runs separate request pages for other countries, such as India. This guide covers the US route only.
