How to opt out of Datasys
- 1
Open the privacy rights page
Go to datasys.com/privacy-policy. It's the page Datasys gives the California registry as the place consumers exercise their privacy rights.
- 2
Ask for deletion and an opt-out of sale
Send a request to delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing, using the route that page describes.
- 3
Keep a copy of the request
Save the date and what you sent, in case you need to follow up or report it to the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Watch out for
- The registry lists Datasys as a business at 750 Park of Commerce Drive, Boca Raton, FL, so deletion rights depend on your state's law; California residents have the clearest route.
Does it come back?
Datasys doesn't publish a relisting policy in its registry entry. Marketing databases refresh from their sources, so check again with a new request if you start getting offers addressed to you.
Your rights
Datasys is listed in the California data broker registry. California law lets you ask a registered broker to delete your data, and the registry shows Datasys reporting it complied with all 16,675 deletion requests it received in 2024.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
