How to remove yourself from Viant
Also known as Viant Technology, Adelphic, Viant US LLC
Viant is an advertising platform, not a people-search site, so there's no listing to find. Opt out of its ad cookie in your browser, then use its form to stop it using your email address for targeted ads. For deletion, use its rights portal or call 1-888-655-1873.

How to opt out of Viant
- 1
Opt out of the cookie
Click "Viant Cookie Opt Out" on its privacy center page. The opt-out stops its advertising cookie, set from the Adelphic domain, and applies to the browser you're using only.
- 2
Switch on Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal when you visit the page, Viant treats you as opted out of the cookie.
- 3
Cover your email address
Fill in the non-cookie opt-out form to stop Viant using your email address and other non-cookie identifiers for targeted advertising. An agent can submit it for you, depending on where you live.
- 4
Ask for deletion or access
To see, correct or delete the personal information Viant holds on you, use its Consumer Rights Request Portal, or call 1-888-655-1873. Viant verifies your identity, for example by asking you to confirm access to your email address.
- 5
Appeal a refusal
If Viant denies a request, you can appeal by emailing privacy@viantinc.com.
Watch out for
- The cookie opt-out is tied to one browser. Repeat it on every browser and device, and again if you clear your cookies.
- Viant treats the opt-out as covering sharing and targeted advertising on its platform. Deletion is a separate request through the portal.
- On phones, Viant points you to your device settings (iOS Tracking, Android ad personalization), and for smart TVs to the NAI's connected TV choices page.

Does it come back?
The cookie opt-out disappears when you clear cookies, so you need to repeat it. Viant doesn't publish a policy on records coming back after deletion.
Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.

Frequently asked
Does Viant sell my data?
Viant says some of its ad personalization, ad delivery and device graph work can count as targeted advertising or sharing under state privacy laws. That is what the opt-outs cover.
Can I opt out for all advertisers at once?
Not through Viant. Its page points to the DAA's opt-out tool at aboutads.info/choices, which covers participating companies including Viant.
Is Viant's opt-out free?
Viant's privacy center doesn't mention a fee for any of its opt-out or rights request routes.
