How to remove yourself from Veraset
Also known as Veraset, LLC
Veraset sells mobile location data. Its Do Not Sell form asks for the advertising ID on your phone, and only the verified device owner or an authorized representative can file. It offers the right to residents of every state, not only those with privacy laws.

How to opt out of Veraset
- 1
Find your advertising ID
On iPhone, install My Device ID by AppsFlyer and open it to see the ID. On Android, go to Settings, then Google, then Ads, where the Google Advertising ID shows if advertising is enabled.
- 2
Open Veraset's Do Not Sell form
It's on the Do-Not-Sell Request page. Complete it with your details and the advertising ID.
- 3
File once per device
Veraset says requests must be made individually by the verified device owner or an authorized representative, and it may ask for more proof that you control the identifier.
- 4
Wait for the team
The page says your submission is received and Veraset's team will get in touch.
Watch out for
- The opt-out is tied to an advertising ID, so a second phone or a reset ID needs its own request.
- Veraset says it doesn't directly collect location data. It receives it from data suppliers and says it requires them and its clients to follow privacy laws, so the supplier apps remain a separate place to switch off location sharing.
Does it come back?
Veraset doesn't publish a relisting policy.
Your rights
Veraset names California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Utah, and extends the opt-out right to residents of other states.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
