How to opt out of CIENCE Technologies, Inc.
- 1
Open the privacy request page
Go to graph8.com/privacy-request. The page says one request covers graph8, CIENCE and Tenbound, which draw on the same database.
- 2
Choose what you want
The request can be for deletion, access, correction, or opting out of sale or sharing. Pick deletion if you want the record gone, not only the outreach stopped.
- 3
Confirm your email address
graph8 verifies your email before it processes anything, so watch your inbox (and spam) for the confirmation.
- 4
Email instead if you prefer
graph8's privacy policy gives compliance@graph8.com for data subject requests and privacy@graph8.com for general privacy questions and Do Not Sell or Share opt-outs.
Watch out for
- An opt-out isn't a deletion. graph8 says the record stays but is no longer used for outreach or passed on.
- graph8 says it may keep a limited suppression record, such as an email address or hashed identifier, so it doesn't contact you again.
- Email unsubscribes for newsletters are handled separately from privacy requests.
Does it come back?
graph8 doesn't publish a relisting policy. It keeps a suppression record after an opt-out or deletion, which is how it avoids contacting you again.
Your rights
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
