How to remove yourself from VDX.tv
Also known as Exponential Interactive, Inc.
VDX.tv is a video advertising company that says it isn't a data broker. Its opt-out works through your browser: a link in the privacy policy swaps its tribalfusion.com cookie for an opt-out cookie, and this is also its Do Not Sell mechanism under the CCPA.

How to opt out of VDX.tv
- 1
Click the opt-out link in the policy
Open the "Opting Out/Deletion/Do Not Sell" section of VDX.tv's privacy policy and click "Click here to optout".
- 2
Let the cookie swap happen
Your device replaces VDX.tv's cookie with a non-identifying opt-out cookie (ANON_ID set to "optout" on tribalfusion.com). It signals that your data shouldn't be used for behaviorally targeted ads.
- 3
Connected TV: use the device settings
For streaming devices, VDX.tv says to follow the manufacturer's instructions for ad privacy.
- 4
For an access request, email privacy@vdx.tv
Send the value of your tribalfusion.com ANON_ID cookie for online activity. For a marketing email, use the opt-out link in that email, or forward the message to the same address if it has none.
Watch out for
- The opt-out is a cookie, so clearing cookies, switching browsers or using another device undoes it. Repeat it where it lapses.
- Requests made through the cookie mechanism aren't counted in the figures the policy reports for CCPA requests.
Does it come back?
VDX.tv's ad cookie expires 90 days after it last sees you, and the opt-out cookie is persistent for 10 years. It says log data including cookie ID and IP address is kept 100 days for troubleshooting or access requests.
Your rights
The policy applies CCPA "Do Not Sell" through the same opt-out link. For 2025 it reports 152 CCPA delete or opt-out requests outside the cookie mechanism, all complied with, and a median response of 10 days.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
United Kingdom: UK GDPR. You can ask any company to erase your personal data and to stop using it for direct marketing. It has one month to respond. If it doesn't, you can complain to the ICO.
