How to remove yourself from Appily
Also known as EAB, Cappex
Appily calls itself a data broker and has a sale opt-out form at the bottom of appily.com/your-privacy-rights. It only stops sales: sharing your details with colleges you contact can't be opted out of.

How to opt out of Appily
- 1
Open the sale opt-out notice
Go to appily.com/your-privacy-rights, the page Appily titles Sale Opt Out Privacy Notice.
- 2
Use the form at the bottom
California residents can opt out of the sale of personal information under the CCPA using the opt-out form at the bottom of that page.
- 3
Unsubscribe from emails
Click the link in any Appily email.
- 4
Ask for removal
Appily's About page says you can withdraw consent for data sharing or have your information removed through the Privacy Notice page. Your account is closed and your personally identifiable data discarded once your identity is verified.
Watch out for
- No opt-out. Appily calls sharing with colleges you contact intentional and central to the service, so the form never stops it.
- Under 16 in California? Appily says it won't sell your information unless you opt in.
- Appily may keep some data for internal business purposes where the law permits it.
- Contact third parties directly.
Does it come back?
Appily doesn't publish a relisting policy, and the sale opt-out does not close your account.
Your rights
Appily's notice gives California residents the right to opt out of sale under the CCPA.
California: CCPA. If you live in California, the CCPA lets you ask a business to delete the personal information it holds about you and to stop selling or sharing it. Businesses generally have 45 days to respond.
California: the Delete Act. Data brokers that hold information on Californians must register with the state. California residents can use DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, to send one deletion request to every registered broker at once.
Other US states. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and a growing list of other states give residents a similar right to delete. Vermont, Texas and Oregon also make data brokers register with the state. Where no state law applies, the broker's own opt-out above still works for most people.
