Watch out for

  • Political organizations, nonprofits, survey takers, current clients and companies you've given permission to call can still reach you.
  • The registry doesn't block calls. Scammers breaking the law ignore it.
  • Registration doesn't expire. Older Wisconsin documents mention renewing every two years, but the current page says that's no longer needed.
  • Anyone who calls offering to register you, especially for a fee, is almost certainly a scam. Register yourself.

What stays out there

The Do Not Call list tells legitimate telemarketers not to call you. It doesn't remove your number from anywhere. Data brokers and people-search sites still list it next to your name and address, and that's often how cold callers and scammers get hold of it.

To cut the supply, your number needs to come off those listings too. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them. See how it works at serus.ai.
