Watch out for

  • Some Google products don't save to My Activity at all, so they won't show up here.
  • My Activity shows and deletes only the account you are signed in to, so repeat the steps for a second Google Account.
  • Deleting activity leaves your Google Account, Gmail and files alone.

What stays out there

Clearing My Activity removes what Google saved about your searches and viewing while signed in. It doesn't change what other companies hold. Data brokers and people-search sites keep their own profiles of your name, address and phone number, and old search results that point to them stay up until the pages are taken down.

Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them, and keeps watching so they don't come back.
