Watch out for
- Only the home owner or tenant can request a house blur.
- The blur is permanent once Google applies it.
- A document that doesn't match the requested location, or only shows a P.O. box, is rejected.
- Google says it permanently deletes the documents you upload from all its systems after 60 days.
- Google blurs faces and license plates automatically, so you don't need a request for those.
What stays out there
A Street View blur hides your house in one Google product. It doesn't change your address on property records, in people-search listings or in marketing databases, and it doesn't remove older copies of the image that others saved.
For most people the bigger exposure is the address attached to their name on people-search sites. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them: see how Serus protects you.
