- 4
Choose Delete account

Watch out for
- Uninstalling the app doesn't delete your profile. Bumble's Terms say so directly.
- A deleted account can be restored for a limited time. Bumble's help page says if it was deleted within the last 28 days, the team can restore it, and may ask for a government-issued photo ID. After that it can't be recovered.
- Deleting the account doesn't necessarily stop a subscription. Cancel it first.
- If you only want a break, Bumble has a separate option for taking a break from online dating, so you don't need to delete.
Other ways to do it
- 1
If the in-app option doesn't work
Contact Bumble support and ask for the account to be deleted. The team verifies your identity to confirm you own the account. If you lost access to your phone number and never added a second login method, Bumble says it can't recover the account, but you can submit a form asking for it to be deleted.
- 2
Request data erasure
To skip the restore period and have your data erased, submit a Data Erasure Request. Bumble says this can take up to 30 days to complete.
What stays out there
Deleting your Bumble account stops new activity at Bumble. It doesn't remove screenshots of your profile or copies of your photos and name that other sites already hold. Dating profiles often show a first name, age, photos and city, and that's enough to find you elsewhere.
After you delete, search your name and usernames to see whether old profile copies are still listed. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them: see how Serus protects you.
