Open the menu under your photo
Log in and click the arrow next to your photo.

Go to Data & settings
Open Data & settings and find the Profile Status section.

Use the deletion link
Click the permanent-deletion link under Profile Status. A confirmation screen asks for your password.

Confirm
After you confirm, you lose access to your messages and matches. There's no way to restore a deleted profile.
Watch out for
- Deleting is permanent. Messages and matches are gone, and eharmony says the profile can't be restored.
- Hiding isn't deleting. Your data stays in the account and some members can still see your profile.
- Subscribers can't use the self-serve link. Contact Customer Care, and turn off automatic renewal so billing doesn't continue.

If you have an active subscription
Members in the middle of a subscription need to contact the eharmony Customer Care team to begin deletion. Turning off automatic renewal is a separate step, so the subscription doesn't continue.

Hide your profile instead
To take a break, hide your profile under Data & settings in the Profile Visibility section. Hiding takes effect immediately and removes you from other members' Matches, but people you're already in contact with or who have favorited you can still see it.
What stays out there
Deleting your eharmony profile ends the profile at eharmony. It doesn't remove copies of your photos, name or details that someone screenshotted or that a people-search site or search engine already picked up. Dating profiles often hold a first name, age, city and photos, which is enough for someone to match them to your other accounts.
