On a computer, go to My Profile > Settings > Delete Account. On iPhone, My Profile > Manage Account > Delete My Account. Deleting doesn't stop billing, so cancel any subscription first. Deleted accounts can't be reactivated.

Cancel your subscription first
Deleting the account doesn't stop billing. Turn your subscription off at least 24 hours before your current membership expires. If you paid through Apple or Google, cancel it in that store.

Open POF.com on a computer and sign in
Use the desktop site for the simplest route.

Go to My Profile
Open My Profile, then Settings.

Choose Delete Account
Select Delete Account and confirm. Photos, chat history and interactions such as Matches and Likes are deleted for good.
Watch out for
- Deleted accounts can't be reactivated. Starting over means a new account.
- Deleting doesn't cancel a subscription. App store purchases are cancelled through Apple or Google.
- POF's privacy policy describes a safety retention window of 3 months after account closure.
- If you only want a pause, the Take a Break option hides your profile. It's offered only in the app and mobile web, in certain regions.

POF's help center says deleting isn't supported in the Android app. Open POF.com in your mobile browser, tap your profile icon, select Manage Account, then Delete My Account.
What stays out there
Closing your Plenty of Fish account stops new data from piling up at that one company. It doesn't reach copies that people-search sites and data brokers already hold, or old search results that point to them. Profile photos and a username can also be copied by other sites while the profile is public.
