How to delete your Patreon account
Patreon deletes accounts through its Privacy Center, not account settings. Choose the option to erase your data, allow Patreon's deletion partner Transcend to view your account, and wait up to 30 days. You can stop it within 14 days. It can't be undone after that.

Step by step
- 1
Download anything you want to keep
Deletion is permanent and Patreon can't restore or move your data afterward. Save what matters to you first.
- 2
End your memberships and payments
Patreon says deleting an account cancels its active memberships, but it also warns that unwanted charges can still happen while the deletion runs. Cancel any paid memberships yourself first and check your payment method afterward.
- 3
Open Patreon's Privacy Center
Deletion starts in the Privacy Center linked from Patreon's help article, not on your account settings page. Sign in if it asks you to.
- 4
Choose the option to erase your data
Use the "Take control" option and pick erasing your data.
- 5
Allow Transcend to view your account
Patreon uses a deletion partner called Transcend. It needs access to your account to carry out the erasure, so approve the Allow step when asked.
- 6
Wait for the process to finish
It can take up to 30 days. Once it finishes there's no way to reactivate the account or recover your data. To come back to Patreon later you need a new account.
Watch out for
- Deleting is not the same as canceling. Cancel paid memberships separately so you aren't charged during the 30 days.
- If you have both a creator and a fan profile, deleting the account removes both.
- It can't be undone. After the 14-day window, the only way back is a brand-new account.
- Patreon's privacy policy says some information can be kept where the law requires it.
Other ways to do it
- 1
Stop the deletion
You have 14 days after starting to change your mind. Reply to the follow-up emails from Transcend, or open Active requests in the Privacy Center.
- 2
Pause instead of deleting (creators)
If you run a creator page and only want to pause it, Patreon lets you unpublish the page instead of erasing the account.
What stays out there
Deleting your Patreon account stops Patreon from holding your data. It doesn't reach copies elsewhere. If your real name, photo or links to your other profiles were on your public Patreon page, people-search sites and search engines may have picked them up already, and those copies stay until each site removes them.
Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them, and keeps watching for them to come back.
