Settle any outstanding payment
You can't delete your Uber account while you have an outstanding payment, so clear it first.

Open Account in the Uber app
Open the Uber app and go to Account. Your account needs a phone number so Uber can verify it's you.

Tap Account Deletion and follow the prompts to confirm.
Watch out for
- Your account is deactivated right away and permanently deleted after 30 days. If you sign back in during those 30 days, the account is restored.
- Unused credits, promotions and rewards are lost.
- If an Uber Eats or driver account uses the same details, it is deleted too.
- Uber may keep certain information after deletion when the law requires or permits it.
- An outstanding payment blocks deletion until it's cleared.
