Check that you're on the list
Use the verification page on the Attorney General's site. If you miss the quarterly registration deadline, it takes up to 120 days for your number to appear.
- 6
Report calls that still come
After you're on the list, report unwanted telemarketing calls to the Attorney General by calling 1-800-441-2555 or filing a complaint online.
Watch out for
- It isn't instant. The list is tied to telemarketers' quarterly purchases, so there's a delay before calls drop.
- Missing the quarterly deadline means up to 120 days before your number shows up.
- The mail-in form notes that you must have a PA residence.
- The Attorney General's FAQ says your number stays on the list.
What stays out there
The Do Not Call list tells telemarketers not to call you. It doesn't delete your number from the data broker and people-search databases that sell and publish it, and calls from scammers who ignore the list won't stop because of it.
Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them from the sites and services that hold them, including people-search sites where you live. See how Serus works.
