How to delete your Yelp account
Go to Yelp's Support site, open "How do I close my account?" and submit an account closure request. Closing removes the reviews and photos you posted, and Yelp says a closed account can't be restored. For non-public data, email dataprotection@yelp.com.

Step by step
- 1
Decide what you want to lose
Yelp says closing a user account removes the content you posted as a consumer, including reviews and photos. It also says a closed account can't be restored. If you only want to stop being seen, think about that before you go further.
- 2
Open Yelp's help article on closing your account
On Yelp Support (yelp-support.com), find the article titled "How do I close my account?". It's the page Yelp points consumers to.
- 3
Submit an account closure request
The article tells you to submit an account closure request. Use the request link in that article, sign in if asked, and send it. Don't use a form from anywhere else.
- 4
Ask for your non-public data to be deleted too
Closing the account removes some public information, not everything. To request deletion of non-public information as well, Yelp says to email dataprotection@yelp.com. Say that you want your account closed and your non-public data deleted.
- 5
Close duplicate accounts the same way
Yelp Support can't merge two user accounts or move content between them. If you have a second account, contact Support and ask to close it.
Watch out for
- A closed Yelp account can't be restored, and the reviews and photos you posted go with it.
- Closing a business account doesn't remove the business page. Yelp generally doesn't remove business pages, so you can unclaim the page or close the account instead.
- Advertisers need to contact Yelp's Customer Success Team before canceling ads or closing the account.
- If someone else added your email to an account you don't own, you can request an account closure to close it.
What stays out there
Closing an account stops Yelp from holding new data about you. It doesn't reach copies that other companies already hold: people-search sites, data brokers and old search results can keep what they gathered earlier, including a public profile they scraped.
With Yelp, the usual leftovers are the name and city on a review that someone copied, and any people-search profile that links your name to the neighborhood you reviewed places in.
Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them, and keeps watching for relistings. Run a free scan to see what's out there.
