Serus is a privacy company with paid tools to find and remove your personal data. This guide shows the free way to do it yourself.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Open the NVIDIA Privacy Center

Go to the NVIDIA Privacy Center. It lists Manage My Account, Privacy Settings, Delete My Data and Request My Data.

  2. 2

    Request your data first (optional)

If you want a copy of what NVIDIA holds, use Request My Data before you delete anything.

  3. 3

    Choose Delete My Data

Select Delete My Data and follow the prompts. NVIDIA says registered account holders can change privacy settings at any time.

  4. 4

Email privacy@nvidia.com if the option doesn't work

NVIDIA's pages name privacy@nvidia.com as the address to request deletion of your NVIDIA account. Send it from the email address on the account and say you want the account deleted.

Watch out for

  • NVIDIA's Knowledge program account is handled separately, through knowledge@nvidia.com. Deleting it doesn't change your main NVIDIA account.
  • NVIDIA's Privacy Center covers several products (GeForce Experience, for example) under one account. Say in your request that you want the whole NVIDIA account deleted.
  • NVIDIA lists two routes (the Delete My Data option and an email address). If one doesn't work for you, try the other.

What stays out there

Deleting an account stops new data collection at that one company. It doesn't touch copies that data brokers, people-search sites and old search results already hold, such as a public profile that scrapers picked up or a name and email that ended up in a marketing list. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them. You can run a free scan to see what's out there.

Frequently asked

Is there a Delete account button in my NVIDIA profile?

NVIDIA's Privacy Center lists Delete My Data as the option for this. NVIDIA's pages also give privacy@nvidia.com for deletion requests.

Does deleting my NVIDIA account delete my GeForce Experience data?

NVIDIA's Privacy Center describes the data GeForce Experience collects and points to the same data options. It doesn't spell out per-product deletion, so ask in your request if you want it covered.

How do I change privacy settings instead of deleting?

The Privacy Center has a Privacy Settings option for registered NVIDIA accounts, plus Manage My Email Preferences and Manage My Cookies.
