In the OfferUp app, go to Account Settings > Privacy Settings > Account Deactivation / Deletion and choose delete. Deletion is permanent. Deactivating is reversible. Neither cancels subscriptions, so cancel those in your app store.

Decide between deactivating and deleting
Deactivating keeps your sales history, messages and ratings and you can undo it by logging back in. Deleting removes your account data permanently and can't be undone.

Cancel any subscription in your app store
OfferUp says neither deactivating nor deleting cancels subscriptions or stops payments. Cancel through your app store at least 24 hours before renewal. OfferUp doesn't give refunds for cancelling.

Open Account Deactivation / Deletion
In the OfferUp app, go to Account Settings, then Privacy Settings, then Account Deactivation / Deletion.

Choose delete and confirm
Follow the prompts to delete the account. OfferUp says this removes your sales, purchases, messages and ratings along with your saved payment methods, and that a deleted account can't be reactivated.
Watch out for
- Deleting is permanent. Your sales history, purchases, messages and ratings go with it.
- Subscriptions keep billing until you cancel them in your app store.
- Deactivating is not deleting. Your data stays saved while the account is deactivated.
- If OfferUp deactivated your account for a policy violation, you can't reactivate it, but you can appeal through Contact Us.

Request deletion through Contact Us
On OfferUp's Contact Us page, pick the Data & Privacy category and choose Delete My Data or Account. OfferUp says deletion doesn't require you to be logged in, which helps if you can't get into the app.
What stays out there
Deleting your OfferUp account stops new data collection there. It doesn't reach copies that data brokers and people-search sites already hold, or old search results that mention you. If your name, phone number or email was public on OfferUp or linked to it, those details may sit on other sites you never signed up for.
